I try d...I can't say that I use any one method. I try different things to see what works for me and Shy. Clicker training has been successful with tricks and even simple things like opening her mouth for the bit and picking up each of her hooves. Shy works well with consistency, lots of praise, and being firm, but not aggressive. She truly wants to please, but she also needs to know that you mean what you ask.
