An Easy Saturday - Writing Challenge, Day 19

Real quick before I get started...congrats to the EHS Tigers on their win last night over the PBHS Colts. Check out my social media for a few videos from the end of the night. As a former band geek, I had to at least get some footage of the current band geeks. I’m super excited about seeing what their field show looks like by their home show and Forest Festival, because I thought it needed a little cleaning (expected this early in the season) but is going to be amazing.

——————————

Today has been a good day.

We ultimately decided to sacrifice going to the fair this year. The week was just too busy, and this weekend has been/will be busy, too. So we unfortunately nixed the plan to fit in the fair today in order to make the weekend a little more relaxed. It’s no fun if you’re running like a chicken with its head cut off the whole time!

So instead, we ran to the store and later went to Fancy Paws for their grand re-opening at their new location. We took my and my mom’s dog, and they did a painted “paw flower” with him. He got some treats. He made friends with our friend’s dog who usually hates him. That was a miracle all on its own!

We went home and hung out to watch the WVU game. And then we came over to our friends’ house to watch more football. (Though admittedly, I’ve been reading and socializing more than watching. Lol)

Speaking of reading, I just finished “A Simple Favor”. I really liked the story. But I wasn’t a huge fan of how it’s written. I’m not going to get into it because if you’re planning to read it or go see the movie, I wouldn’t want to ruin it for you. The story itself was interesting. I truly couldn’t put it down for that reason alone and read most of it in one day, today. I still can’t wait to see the movie. I’m excited to see how Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick play out these characters.

Tomorrow, we go to the Jubilee. And it’s the part of the weekend I’m the most excited about!
